First edition. Cloth with dust jacket. Book very good, jacket spine panel torn at top to a depth of an inch or so. Rest of the jacket in good shape. The jacket is a second issue, bearing no price on the front inside flap; it is not price-clipped. Other than that, the jacket has the correct first edition markers, a code of 1070 on the front inside flap and the correct list of books on the back inside flap. An interesting feature of this copy is that, although the jacket has no price, there is a small price sticker on the back panel from the Doubleday Book Shop, one of several elegant shops on Fifth Avenue that were run by publishers in a bygone era. Hence, the book was sold in a retail store and is not a book club issue. The Doubleday shop closed in 1977. Seller Inventory # 5492
