In 1967, Nils Aas won Oslo Kommunes. competition for a Haakon 7th monument. It was unveiled and placed in the square. outside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is a masterpiece created by one of the country's greatest sculptors. In addition to this great monument, he has made many other monuments and. portraits of politicians, artist friends and many others.
