About this Item

Quarter cream colored linen cloth spine over dark rose colored boards. Dark red title label on spine. Cream on spine has some very minor soiling, otherwise book is Fine. Front cover is blind stamped with pegasus surrounded by stars and a crescent moon, same illustration as the DJ. Book is tight, square and completely free of markings inside. Clipped DJ is in Near Fine condition with no tears, marks or ay visible scuffing or wear. Copy of one of the poems from the book is reproduced on the back cover of the DJ. Told in verse, Godden creates her own version of the Flood Myth, centered around Pegasus. Decoration by Shrimati Arnakali E. Carlile (illustrator). Now protected by Archival quality mylar. 1st/1st.
