Item description from seller

Book is Near Fine. 241pp. Light red and black patterned boards, silver lettering on black spine. Creasing to the spine edges, a touch of toning, otherwise imternally clean, unmarked pages . Aged colored spines. Unclipped pictorial jacket has original $4.50 price on the front flap. Creases on the upper and lower spine edges, otherwise a clean, bright jacket. Extremely rare today. Even less so, as a signed First edition. The "provenance" of this book is extremely interesting and decisively unique. There are many studies that examine the relationship of Baldwin’s literary work and life and Hemingway’s. Audre Hanneman is well-known as "Hemingway’s bibliographer" with her unofficial most extensive two-volume bibliography of Hemingway published by Prnceton University. At that time she was living in New York and was engaged in the literary scene. Her name on the flyleaf, definitely makes it a one-of-a-kind first edition of this work. The book was signed (not inscribed) for Dr. Ángel Capellán, author of Hemingway and the Hispanic World (1985).…
