Item description from seller

241pp. Black cloth over red marbled boards. Silver titles on spine. Solid, square copy with a bit of fading to the extremities. Offsetting/tanning from publisher's glue on endpapers. Pages toned but clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has a bit of edgewear/mild creasing at extremities, but it's not price clipped. One of Baldwin's probing, insightful books of nonfiction from the '60s, this one including, notably, the title essay. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
