Quarto, 820 pages, index, illustrated. Later binding has slight wear along the edges, at the rear the original endpaper is coming away from the text-block and is foxed, some foxing to the rear of the plates but overall VG for its age. One of the few books produced by this firm, it has been described as the first comprehensive and properly researched railway history.
