Bob Elliot, baseball columnist at the Toronto Sun and a member of the veterans committee of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, has covered major league baseball for 25 years. He has been the beat writer for both the Montreal Expos and the Toronto Blue jays, has had access to all the stars over the past quarter-century and is regarded, on both sides of the 49th parallel, as among the game's half dozen or so most knowledgeable and erudite chroniclers. He is the author (along with former Blue Jays star George Bell) of the best-seller "Hard Ball." He lives in Mississauga, Ontario.
