The very scarce first edition of this work.In the publisher's original red cloth binding.With a forty page catalogue of other works from the publishers to the rear.A vivid account of the author's voyages across Norway and its famous fjords by Marian Amy Wyllie.Illustrated with sketch maps to the front endpapers, sixteen colour plates (including a frontispiece) and sixteen monochrome plates.Illustrations in colour by W. L. Wyllie, a prolific English painter who specialised in maritime themes and has been described as "the most distinguished marine artist of his day." Collated complete.The Wyllies collaborated in other projects relating to their travels and voyages. Marian wrote an intimate biography of her husband title 'We Were One' in 1935. In the original cloth binding. Externally, with fading to the spine a rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
