This is a Very Good Copy of this Book rebound in red buckram cloth boards with gilt title lettering to spine.This copy has NO previous names or inscriptions present.Looks like a plate was removed from the front pastedown,likely to be ex library copy but with NO stamps present.The folding plan map of The Battle of Waterloo is still present referencing the Allies,The French and The Prussians.There is some tape strengthening applied to the back of the map.The binding of the book remains firm with no hinge weakness.First published in1865 and this is a rather rare account of the Battle of Waterloo by the Quartermaster-General of General Baron Alten's 3rd Division.It's certainly one of the most important books on the Battle of Waterloo.The Author was uniquely placed to write this important book as he was a veteran of the Peninsular and Waterloo campaigns and was also on the Quartermaster-General's staff of the 3rd Division.It comes with extensive notes and comments on various aspects of the Battle of Waterloo including several controversial opinions on some of the more crucial incidents.
