Very Good or better - Vol. I - reare hinge starting; Vol. II - two bookplates on front pastedown; no marking in either volume. Foraker talks about the Andrews raiders (Andrews Railroad Raid - April 1862) and the monument in their honor in the National Cemetery at Chattanooga, Tennessee, May 30th, 1891. Includes the address of ex-Governor Foraker. Interesting reference to encountering General George Armstrong Custer and his wife with Custer's division just before entering Alexandria, Virginia at the end of the Civil War.
