Ivory cloth over marbled boards. Limited Edition, #389 of 500. Incribed by the editor, W. S. Lewis and brother of C.S. Lewis, to the original owner, John Wesley Warrington and dated 1928. Warrington's paste down bookplate is on the endpaper. The inscription is the only marking in the book, the rest of the pages are pristine. Deckled edges are a bit darkened from age. There are some tiny foxed spots on the spine label. There is an etching opposite the introduction, and there are facsimiles of Stuart's notes bound-in. Indexed and with a list of works by the author at the back. This is a commentary by Stuart on John Heneage Jesse's book on Selwyn and his group, presented by the publisher with others in Horace Walpole's original collection called Miscellaneous Antiquites, or a Collection of Curious Papers. Printed by D. B. Updike at the Merrymount Press, Boston.
