Gilt title to the spine with monkey head vignette.The cloth clean and tight with no chips or splits faint 2 mm line mark to the upper cover. A very good + copy of Patterson's third book of an unusual title based on the experiences he gained at Preston Pleasure Gardens. There was also an edition published in 1888 in a brown cloth binding and title page dated. A second edition appeared in 1906.
