Condition Report Externally Spine good condition divided into six compartments with raised gilt bands, gilt titles in the second and fourth, the others tooled with gilt fishing motifs, gently rubbed at the top. Joints good condition. Corners good condition bumped and worn. Boards good condition bound in half contemporary green goatskin, with buckram boards, blind tooled fillets, general signs of wear. Page edges good condition all gilt. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition intact. Paste downs good condition marbled. End papers good condition marbled, subsequent end papers lightly tanned and foxed, there is a book label pasted to the first free end paper in the top right hand corner Charles G. Brown and there is an insert on the half title page which reads From Wm. Henderson with his address in Germany. Title good condition lightly tanned. Pages good condition half title present, frontispiece albumen portrait of the author in wading boots with a printed signature at the bottom.
