First edition. Prepared by Jessie Easter Scanlan. Quarto. [15]ff. mimeographed rectos only. Lacking the first (title) leaf (provided in facsimile), outer leaves a bit stained and upper corner of the first several leaves with an early stain, about very good. Printed text is complete. The text consists of five essays: "The Art of Fiction" by Elizabeth Bowen, "The Problems of a Novelist" by Dorothy Baker, "Fiction and Filmm," by Fletcher Markle, "The Commercial Magazine Story," by Richart Stern; and "The Short Story," by Richard Ready. The conference was presented by the Department of English and University Extension, University of California. November 2-3, 1951. *OCLC* locates two copies (Ohio State, British Library).
