Hardback, Good, in unclipped dustjacket (with two price revisions in pen); jacket is a bit grubby to the white background, sunned to spine, with shelfwear to edges. Black cloth with silver lettering to spine. Binding strong. Pastedowns to front and back a little marked in places. Pencilled owner signature and annotation to ffep. 254pp., contents clean and bright. Light foxing to edges of page block. Nelson Algren (born Nelson Ahlgren Abraham; March 28, 1909 May 9, 1981) was an American writer. His 1949 novel The Man with the Golden Arm won the National Book Award.
