Good copy in contemporary full calf boards, now somewhat scuffed, with panel edges showing expected mild wear. Spine gilt-tooled with raised bands, now lacking labels, with joints and endbands rubbed. Front hinge broken, with covers pivoting on the rear joint. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers; preliminary and final leaves lightly foxed, with the main text showing only the expected faint foxing and offsetting of age. A well-preserved example overall.
