This is a Tell-A-Tale Books edition. Probable first - No date other date on copy right page. Classic rhymes Jack Horner, Bo-Peep, etc. Illustrations are in the style of 1940's - in dress and appearances. Illustrations are in bright colors. Interior pages are clean with NO creases, writing or tears. Not an ex-lib. Binding is firmly stapled no loose pages. Illustrated paper boards are clean and colorful. Surprisingly, there is very little soiling or shelf wear. Illustrated boards are bright and still very colorful. DJ with same picture as on boards is still bright but has closed tears and wear along edges and folds. This book is over 78+ years old and DJ has borne the brunt of the wear.
