First edition.Broadsheet, uncut, as issued. Minor aging andnicks, but a fine copy. In this issue L'Estrangeuses his usual slangy dialogue format, clutteredwith gothic and italic and all cap type fonts foremphasis, and peppered with apostrophes commas toreplicate the tone of a lively conversation, todebate the freedom of the press under QueenElizabeth. His use of colorful slang like"twitted" and phrases like "ticklish upon thatquestion" or "a Bear by the Tooth" makes foramusing reading. An advertisement at the endoffers for sale copies of Ayres' EMBLEMATAAMATORIA, and announces that a paper forhorse-dealers, `The Jockeys Intelligence' wasbeing revived due to popular demand.
