Book size about 6 by 8 inches with some 383 pages. Bound in red cloth with gilt lettering. Account of the work of a Prohibition Enforcer from the New Jersey District and his conclusion that the law was unenforceable (It was repealed two years later). He cites his frequent 18 hour days and grueling work in the face of official disinterest, corruption,fraud, graft and lack of support. Fascinating look at the Prohibition Era. Spine lettering gilt mostly missing; bit of covers speckling; rear hinge cracked. VERY GOOD.
