First Edition. The English antiquary's first work, in which he attacked the opinions of Bochart, Beza, Grotius, Bentley, and others. The first tract concerns the wind mentioned by St. Luke under the name of Euroclydon. The second is a dissertation on the two islands, Melite Illyrica, and Melita Africana, in which Bryant attempts to prove that the former was the island on which the apostle St. Paul was shipwrecked. The last and longest tract is an historical-geographical treatise on ancient Egypt, in which Bryant situates and describes Goshen, Zoan, Onium, Heliopolis, &c. Cox I 230. Blackmer 226.
