Binding remains tight and square. Moderate rubbing and surface wear to boards. Noticeable fraying and cloth loss at head and tail of spine, with exposed board at extremities. Corners bumped with light wear. No structural looseness. Page edges moderately toned consistent with age. Interior pages clean and unmarked. No writing, underlining, or bookplates observed. Paper supple and sound. No dust jacket present. (see photos) Printing Identification Note. This appears to be the original 1972 issue. The copyright page shows only the 1972 copyright notice and publisher statement, with no visible number line or later printing designation . Dodd, Mead editions of this period often omitted number lines on first printings. In absence of a stated later printing, this is most accurately listed as: 1972 First American Edition (no subsequent printings indicated). Ocean Racing & Offshore Yachts is a detailed technical and practical examination of offshore racing yacht design, rigging, hull construction, sail plans, and racing equipment.
