An eminently presentable copy of Waugh's follow-up to "Men at Arms," although it stands alone as a complete novel in itself. Cyril Connolly reviewed the book as "admirably written, humorous rather than witty, genial, courteous, consistently delightful in texture." DAVIS, 30.
