8vo. Pp. 335. Bound in blue cloth with title stamped in gilt on spine. Top edge stained blue. Crease to front board; slight gouge to fore-edge of covers. Dust jacket with shallow chips. An eminently presentable copy of Waugh's follow-up to "Men at Arms," although it stands alone as a complete novel in itself. Cyril Connolly reviewed the book as "admirably written, humorous rather than witty, genial, courteous, consistently delightful in texture." DAVIS, 30. Dust jacket now protected in a clear removable, archival cover. Seller Inventory # 190
