Original burgundy cloth with gilt lettering on spine. Covers slightly rubbed with slight shelf wear to edges and slight staining mostly on the rear board. Some slight foxing and a slight water stain on the edges of a few leaves. One of the early standard histories of the oil Fields and exploration by one of the early pioneers of the industry. Fantastic to see what was the standard over 110 years ago. The ads at the rear are also great fun.
