2 voll. in-16°, pp. XXI, (3), 348, (4); XV, 445, (2); legatura editoriale t. tela blu marina con, ai piatti, illustrazioni in oro con serto vegetale da cui penzolano dei nastri. Titolo in oro al dorso. Decine di tavv. fotografiche n.t. e f.t. a ognuno dei due voll. Una sbiaditura all'angolo superiore destro del piatto posteriore del secondo vol., per il resto perfetto stato. Terza edizione di questo bel resoconto di viaggio nell'intero territorio della Provenza, ricchissimo di notazioni storiche e artistico-letterarie. L'edizione originale risale al 1905. Sir Theodore Andrea Cook (Wantage, 1867-Londra, 1928) fu scrittore, viaggiatore, gionalista e critico d'arte. Egli fu anche appassionato sportivo: partecipò alla Boat Race di Oxford del 1889, fondò a Oxford lo University Fencing Club e fu capitano della squadra inglese di scherma ai campionati di Parigi del 1903 e di Atene del 1906. Fra i tre rappresentanti britannici dell'International Olympic Committee, fu coinvolto nell'organizzazione delle Olimpiadi di Londra del 1908. Seller Inventory # 34777
