Adorable 1940 first printing stapled paperback with rubbing/color loss/curling at tips. No names inside, one micro closed tear on rear cover, two light soil marks on first two pages and a couple places where the paper has a very thin fold/overlap in the page. 22pp oversized (12.5" tall) text. All pages securely affixed, a hint of rust at staples. Pages clean with a hint of age-toning at periphery. Each page is a full size color drawing suitable for framing. Includes - A Real Friend (Girl running after her hat on a windy day with a White Highland Terrier)/ Hop! Skip! Jump! (Boy and Girl jumping rope running side by side w/a black/silver puppy at their feet)/ Four Red Apples (Girl catches 2 apples in her skirt while white Highland puppy looks at the two on the ground)/ The Swing (Girl and Boy ride together facing each other standing on swing)/ David Plays Doctor (boy in farmer shorts cares for the artificially wounded and bandaged white Highland pup)/ Sally's New Friend (Young girl is happy when another girl her age moves into the neighborhood, they have washed and are weighing their baby dolls)/ A New Pair of Roller Skates (Girl in green breaks in her new skates while out with the White Highland pup)/ A Birthday Present (Brother and Sister are sad because they have no money to buy presents for their parent's birthdays, both were in March, so they came up with a plan to entertain them both for free)/ A Happy New Home/ The Ground Hog/ Coasting Down the Hill/ Mary and Her Garden/ A Place on the Team/ Hungry and Tired/ Hunting for a Rabbit/ The Two Kites/ Ted Learns His Lesson/ A Real Football Player/ Packing to go to the Seashore.
