Very good in card covers looks unread. The book has a hilarious look at the dock land life of Birkenhead after the war. "The One-Eyed City" is a long-standing nickname for Birkenhead, an industrial town in Merseyside, England. It is most commonly believed that the moniker arose from the town's early trams, which operated with only one headlight or that only one side of the road had street lamps, though it is sometimes used to describe the town's gritty reputation.
