1st printing. Inscribed by Roush to a friend and fellow marine on title page. Book has some rippling of pages due to exposure to moisture, and also some very pale tea staining to some page corners. All text clean and unmarked. Glossy pictorial boards. Map endpapers. 663pp. Photos all throughout. Dust jacket, also with some dampstaining, offered now in a new mylar cover. A Marine's personal story of front line combat on Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan and Tinian in the South Pacific during World War II, then as a F-15 & jet fighter pilot in the USAF during the Korean War. Size: 4to - over 9" - 12" Tall.
