Harper blue ribbon copy. Publisher's original yellow paper over black cloth binding, title on front in black along with illustrations by Maurice Sendak on front, back and on end plates. Original dust jacket with Maurice Sendak illustrations. Has correct jacket codes for the first edition, front dust jacket numbers '30-70 / no 9429A', rear 4 reviews 'Harper & Brothers / No 9430A'. Dust jacket is fair with wear to edges and torn on spine with small section missing. Binding is fine. Pages bright and clean with a few small marks on the front and end papers and small patch of fosing on fore edge. Further details and images are available on request.

We are two bibliophiles currently selling some of the books from the collection of the actor Paul Scofield. This includes many first editions signed and given to him by the authors as well as working copies of the many plays he performed in. There is a nice collection of books relating to his role as Sir Thomas More in the 1966 play 'A Man for all Seasons' We've tried to give as much detail as possible on the condition of our books but are more than happy to send more photos if required.
