An illustrated program honoring American film and theater director Rouben Mamoulian, featuring an interview between Mamoulian and Raymond Rohauer, the Film Curator and Program Director, The Gallery of Modern Art in New York. Rouben Mamoulian, whose technical expertise and original sense of style has brought us such classic films as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with Fredric March, Becky Sharp (the first Technicolor film), Silk Stockings (a dance/musical with Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse), and Queen Christina with Greta Garbo.
