Quarto. An exquisite 1st Limited Edition in both the rare glassine dust jacket and original box. Printed in an edition of 950 copies, this piece is number 876. MacAskill, was a Nova Scotia-born Canadian photographer known for his seascapes and depictions of ships. He is particularly recognized for his photographs of the Bluenose, two of which were used on the Bluenose postage stamp in 1929. This historic piece shows little wear, with slim signs it was even removed from the box. Book in Near Fine condition. With a trace of unobtrusive foxing to boards. Original glassine dust jacket with a hint of mild edge wear. Publisher's pictorial box with mild age toning and edge wear. Three quarter slate-blue buckram over grey cloth-covered boards.
