This book is very well illustrated with 34 vintage b&w photos of these trips. This small sized hard cover book (6 x 9 inches 246 pages) was published in this first book edition by George H. Doran of New York dated 1923 after having first appeared in magazine form in Cosmopolitan and Good Housekeeping. The book is bound in dark red boards with gilt titles on cover and spine. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers are generally clean and bright with some minor darkening along the edges where the hands touch. The gilt titles on the spine have lost a little of their gilt but are still legible. There has been some light bumping to the corners and spine tips-nothing extreme. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages are bright and clean throughout without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
