Scarce first edition hardcover (no jacket). Edgewear, tanning and minor marks on the boards and spine. The spine is a little cocked with bumped ends. The board corners are a little bumped and frayed. Light foxing on the page block and on some pages throughout. Previous owner's name and year (1892) written in fountain pen on the half title page. The binding is a little exposed between pages 86 and 87, otherwise generally remains sound. A few creased page corners. All text remains clear. CM.
