This is the original publication of this title and not a modern reprint. The book has tan stiff paper boards with black lettering on the front and back, each the beginning of a 30 page book, one for the month of April, the other for the book of May. There is an illustration of a flower on the inside cover of the book, followed by a design from the flower, a reproduction of a photograph of the flower, a page with a poem and description of the flower, two pages entitled "Questions I asked the and their answers," pages for an individual to tell their story related to the flower, a page for a water color of the flower, and then a design created by the owner. All of these pages remain blank and without a previous owner's signature or responses to the pages provided. There is a small abrasion to the "W" in "Own" on the May side cover and a slight lifting of the cloth cover from the paper cover on the same side near the top of the spine.
