1st 1980. Slightly better than very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. P.H. Gosse (1810-88) was among the most distinguished natural historians in the nineteenth century. He was a true field naturalist, and all his work is pervaded with his own observations. This bibliography is the result of a collaboration between an expert on Gosse and natural-history writing in general in an attempt to provide a complete inventory of all the writings of Gosse, with full bibliographical descriptions and analysis of various editions, issues and bindings. Black cloth boards, gilt title to spine. xviii and 148 pages including index. A nice copy. White pictorial dustwrapper is a little grubby. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched.
