About the Author

Neal Morgan, a Texas native, was for 28 years a teacher, football coach and administrator in Texas high schools and colleges.His first book; Karankawa County: Short Stories From a Corner of Texas, received consistently good reviews across the country. He is now an active writer and rancher in Southeast Texas where most of his material is gathered. His stories and articles have appeared in Texas Monthly, The Texas Observer, and several newspapers across Texas.
