PRINCESS PEARL AND THE KINGDOM OF KICKLAND

The charming Kingdom of Kickland, the place where the soccer trees grow, is home to a plucky Princess named Pearl. Although she longs to play, soccer is not considered an appropriate activity for a princess. Her life takes a turn when a kind fairy godmother unintentionally grants her wish to play in the big game. The rest is up to Pearl. The story is told in rhyming verse with colorful illustrations on every page. Appropriate for children ages 4-7. All profits from the sale of this book benefit Books for a Better World, as well as other children’s charities in collaboration with Books for a Better World. Each book sold will help send children’s books in Spanish to school and community libraries in Central America.

Jan McLaughlin is the author and illustrator of Princess Pearl and the Kingdom of Kickland. Her career for the past twenty-five years has been in fine arts as an oil painter. She has been represented by galleries in Scottsdale, Sedona, Santa Fe, Laguna Beach, and Palm Desert and participated in the Scottsdale Celebration of Fine Art for seventeen years. She is married with two grown children and four grandchildren. This is her first book, written both as a gift to the very special young people in her life, but also as a fundraiser. All profits will go to Books for a Better World and other children’s charities.
