Laid in, because I do not know where it should be placed in these four volumes, is a black and white drawing entitled "Picturization of the Mountain of Life" in very good condition. It appears that there was a Book Five, which is not included in this lot, entitled "Human Sexology: Regaining Paradise through Regeneration by Means of the Preservation and Transmutation of the Sexual Fluid, which was published a year later and in Coasta Rica. The title page describes the author as a ?Graduate in Naturopathy and Orthopathy.? According to De La Torre, psycho-physioathy is the science of physical and spiritual regeneration and longevity. Asserting that humanity originated in the tropics, the author advocates eating natural, alkaline foods, avoiding meat, fish fowl, eggs, and cereals and their products, consistent with the diet of our ancient forebears. Fasting is recommended to cleanse the body of toxins. The body has the means of healing itself, to the extent that immortality may be achieved if the principles of psycho-physiopathy are followed. I was unable to find any biographical information on the author though it appears he may have been Costa Rican, or at least lived in Costa Rica. (He is not to be confused with the civil engineer and Minister of the Environment in Costa Rica, who lived decades later.) The first person De La Torre lists in his acknowledgments is Emmet Densmore, who is credited with promoting (like the author) an early version of the paleolithic diet. A rare set of four volumes of this seminal work. Please note: This is NOT the reprint. Also, extra postage may be required for these four volumes, which are heavy because they are printed on coated paper stock. Seller Inventory # 009597
