Black cloth cover. xxviii+324+12 (series list); prev.owner's sm.label top fr. pastedown, 1926-dated gift inscrip+ later sig. fr.endpaper, series list extensively browned, otherwise internally clean, tight & unmarked; sp. ends rubbed, esp.bottom where cloth broken, sm.cloth chip back bottom edge, fr.cover sl.rubbed with two sm.white patches of paper adhesion and an 8.5 cm vertical scratch mark. Increasingly scarce. Elliot Smith's Introduction strives to co-opt Rivers into the strong 'diffusionist' camp.
