About the Author

David Samuelson is a veteran cinematographer and consultant. He has held a variety of positions from rewind boy to Director of Photography and Facility Company Executive. Most recently, he has been a consultant and writer on film production techniques. He is the author of Samuelson's Hands-On Manual for Cinematographers (Focal Press, 1994), Motion Picture Camera Data (Focal Press, 1979), Motion Picture Camera Techniques (Focal Press, 1984), and Motion Picture Camera & Lighting Equipment (Focal Press, 1986).
