As social attitudes to poverty began to change following the Napoleonic wars, an 1816 Parliamentary Select Committee began to consider an overhaul of the Poor Law system. Internally, the binding is a little tender, with the last two is disbound, but present. Pages are bright with some light patchy foxing. Good.
