316 pages. 7.5 x 5 inches. "Mr. Arthur Train's new novel deals with the sensational slump on Wall Street, the effects of which will be felt all over the world for many a month to come." [front flap] Jacket spine tanned, with shallow chips, slight creasing, and a one inch closed tear from head along upper fore-edge. Offsetting to free endpapers from flaps. Top edge of textblock foxed; fore-edge less so. Occasional foxing, heaviest to half title and title page. Binding sound, hinges secure, signature to front free endpaper. UK edition uncommon, and scarce in jacket which differs from that of the US Horace Liveright edition.
