Here is the latest in Crown's series of histories of the major Hollywood studios by the author of The MGM Story. Previous books provided a still from each film, along with a brief paragraph giving major credits, a synopsis, and often a critical word or two. Unfortunately, though all Paramount films are included, some lack a photo and have only a one-sentence description. Most of this book's intended audience would probably prefer a picture and more information on such minor worthwhile films as Buy Me That Town or The Mad Doctor (both 1941) instead of full-page photos from Saturday Night Fever or Raiders of the Lost Ark .
