A very rare copy. Bound with red pictorial boards with black decoration and gilt crests. Spine is faded and lettering is faint. Lettering has The Franco Prussian War. Shoulders are splitting and edges are worn. Internally the fep has been replaced with white paper and the front and back hinge is beginning to crack. The back page has a black and white photograph of Paris during the 1848 curfew pasted in. The printer instructed the binder to place the prints opposite the relevant pages, however they are all together at the front, together with pull out maps of Paris which are creased but in reasonable condition. Gilt page edges. Despite the imperfections of age this is a fascinating volume and in better than fair condition. Undated but clearly late 19thC. Seller Inventory # 6210
