Boston: Samuel Colman, 1834. Juvenile series, illustrated throughout with woodcuts and wood engravings, published quarterly. Apparently complete but with confusing arrangement: pages consecutively numbered from 209 to 319 with none missing, but according to title pages, contains only numbers 14, 18 and 19 of volume 2. Also includes table of contents for Vol. II [2], Part III [3]. Includes considerable information on silk production, also covers pen making, hats, making a clock, etc. Hardcover with elaborate design in green, about seven inches tall. Covers worn and chipped at the extremities, text block sound, pages lightly foxed and rubbed around the edges, gift notation on front free endpaper. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
