Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, seventy-one black-and-white plates, and eight maps, one of which is folding. Collated complete. A detailed travel guide for the exploration of the Pyrenees, with chapters on summer and winter, valleys, peaks, attractions, gorges, tours and routes, the highest roads, and much more. Written by Charles Lincoln Freeston, an English traveller and writer. Illustrated by the author and Walter Hayward-Young, a British artist renowned for his postcard designs. In the original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor bumping to the extremities. A small split in the cloth to the head of the spine. Residue from a sticker to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the first and last few pages. Light age toning to the endpapers. A contemporary ink inscription and stamp to the front endpaper. Ink stamp to the rear pastedown. Very Good Indeed.…
