First Edition. DJ, endpapers, frontispiece and other illustrations by Edward Howard Suydam. DJ price-clipped; no initial sales price data. DJ chipped; spine sun-faded; otherwise, pristine and unmarked pages. Front hinge weak, but still holding. Suydam died as this volume went to print; thus, his last work. Protected in an archival wrapper. This classic work has been reprinted in several formats, but nothing compares with owning the book in its original first edition state.
