A first edition of this fictional work from prolific writer, Thomas Adolphus Trollope. Thomas Adolphus Trollope was an historian and writer, of both travel and novels. He was hugely popular during the Victorian era. Featuring an engraved frontispiece of Paul the Friar. Rebound in a cloth binding with gilt lettering to the spine. Externally, lightly rubbed, with some damp staining to both boards, and wear to the head and tail of spine. Both hinges are strained. Internally, generally firmly bound, bright and mostly clean, with the odd handling mark, and marginal tide mark to the frontispiece. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Good Only.
