The author, a physical anthropologist, wonders that due to our basic nature and aggressive instincts embedded in our genes, can war be avoided? The author has attempted to uncover the sources of warfare and aggression and finds no biological proof that aggression is inherent in human nature and that it is an acquired trait from reacting to conditions within society. The hope is that man may recognize peace as the next logical step in his cultural evolution if the species is to survive. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
