A smart first edition of this illustrated novel from popular Victorian writer, H. Rider Haggard. First edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece and fifteen plates. Collated complete. The tale of a young Christian woman growing up in the Roman Empire during the first century during the Siege of Jerusalem. Written by Sir Henry Rider Haggard, an English writer of adventure fiction romances set in exotic locations and a pioneer of the lost world literary genre.
