Pedal Portland celebrates the city s passion for pedaling in an accessible, fun, and family-friendly way. It features 25 easy rides that explore the most interesting parts of the city, from north to northwest to northeast, southwest to southeast, and the surrounding areas, like Beaverton and Vancouver. Each ride is accessible to anyone with a bike including kids. The rides range from eight to twelve miles and many can be shortened by taking advantage of the city s bike-friendly public transportation. About the Author
An Oregon native, it was Todd Roll’s life in Europe that opened his eyes to biking as more than a sport for speed junkies in Lycra. His desire to make biking accessible to all spawned his Portland sightseeing company, Pedal Bike Tours, as well as the business’ motto that “no spandex is required.” Through Pedal Bike Tours, he has helped get thousands of tourists and locals onto bikes to pedal the most bike friendly large city in America. Todd can be seen riding around Portland with his wife and daughter.
